چکیده
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a rapidly growing aggressive cancer of White Blood Cells (WBC) that mostly originates from bone morrow and is the most prevalent pediatric cancer (Pui et al., 2008; Stanulla et al., 2009). Natural products are a rich source of valuable medicinal agents. More than half of the currently available drugs are natural or related compounds. In the case of cancer therapy, the percentage of natural compound exceeds 60% (Keitaro et al., 2012). Resveratrol (trans-3, 4’, 5-trihydroxy stilbene) is produced by several plants in response to stress, injury, UV irradiation and fungal infections. Resveratrol is normally found in many dietary products such as grapes, peanuts, berries and wine (Signorelli et al., 2005). Numerous pharmacological properties have been attributed to resveratrol including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardio-protective, and

The hedgehog/Gli-1 signaling pathways is involved in the inhibitory effect of resveratrol on human colorectal cancer HCT116 cells
Objective(s): The study aimed to investigate the effects of resveratrol on colorectal cancer HCT116 cells, including cell viability, apoptosis, and migration, and the partial mechanisms focused on hedgehog/gli-1 signaling pathways. Materials and Methods: We chose the appropriate time and concentration of recombinant human Sonic hedgehog (Shh) stimulation by cell viability. The proportion of cel...
متن کاملThe effect of Ganoderic Acid A on miR-17-5p and miR-181b expression level and apoptosis induction in human leukemia Nalm-6 cells
Background: In various cancers, Ganoderic Acid A (GAA), an active triterpenoid derived from Ganoderma lucidum, has been proved to show potent anti-tumor effects. However, the possible impacts of GAA on the human leukemia cell line (Nalm-6) are not fully elucidated. Therefore, this research aimed to study the antineoplastic effect of GAA on Nalm-6 cells. Materials and Methods: In this laborator...
متن کاملEffect of Estradiol on miR-21; miR-155 Expression in promyelocytic leukemia-derived cell line NB4
Background: Due to the estrogen participation in modulating the proliferation and commitment of stem cells and the effects of miR-21 and miR-155 expression on reduced proliferation and colony formation of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), the aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of estradiol on expression of miR-21 and miR-155 in the NB4 cell line, as an acute promyelocytic leukemia ...
متن کاملDeregulation of miR-21 and miR-155 and their putative targets after silibinin treatment in T47D breast cancer cells
Objective(s):MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of short RNAs that control the biological processes including cell proliferation, apoptosis and development. Aberrant expression of miRNAs was determined in the different stages of tumor development and metastasis. To study the effect of silibinin on miRNAs expression, we evaluated quantitative expression of miR-21 and miR-155 as two oncomiRs and seve...
متن کاملResveratrol reduces lipid accumulation through upregulating the expression of microRNAs regulating fatty acid bet oxidation in liver cells: Evidence from in vivo and in vitro studies
MicroRNAs has been shown to regulate lipogenesis in liver. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether the effects of resveratrol (RSV) on lipogenesis is associated with the changes in the expression of two miRNAs (miR-107 and miR-10b) that regulate lipogenic pathways. 30 wild type C57BL/6j male mice were randomly fed three diets: a standard chow diet (ND), a high fat diet (HFD, 60%...
